Welcome to Sign & Digital Graphics’ 2011 Printer Update report, an invaluable information resource for anyone thinking about purchasing and/or upgrading their wide-format digital printing system. 

 

This year’s report reflects how companies are adjusting to the soft economic situation. Some smaller companies have dropped out of the printer business entirely while other, larger players, have cut back on the number of printers they are offering this year. We’ve adapted our report to make sure you are kept current with printers that are geared to new ink technologies. This year, to make a more manageable chart, we have combined some of the more esoteric ink formulations into a new section labeled “Other Inks.” Here we have grouped corn-based bio-inks together with latex, resin and epoxy-type inks.
