This week’s featured project was sent in by Daniel Nava, owner of Travel Wraps Graphics in Franklin, Indiana.

“My customer was referred to me by an F4 race team that I sponsor,” Nava says. “Their dilemma was that a painted race car cannot be easily re-painted after a driver hits a wall. The only solution was to wrap the car. We designed the wrap to keep intricate lines off of the nose cone and front wing as they take the most damage and can be easily wrapped yellow again.

“The end product was a bright, tasteful design that really exemplified what a race car should look like.”

Nava used Avery Dennison SWF films and the design/striping was all done with Knifeless Tape and good old fashioned free-hand cutting. The design concept was done in Adobe Illustrator.
