This week’s featured project is a classic from 2014 created by Wayne’s Signs and Engraving in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Wayne Mast founded the company more than two decades ago and created this wrap to promote the Budweiser Clydesdales at Suttler Post Farm, which he founded in 2001. What started as one horse he bought for his daughter is now a stable of Clydesdales that the farm rents out for special occasions and shows off to visitors.
Greg Shall of Wayne’s Signs explains how this wrap came about.
“This particular wrap was designed primarily in Adobe Photoshop and was printed with a Roland SJ-745EX onto Avery’s MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS vinyl and laminated with Avery’s DOL 1360 Gloss Overlaminate,” Shall told Sign & Digital Graphics. “The wrap was intended to promote a traveling six-horse hitch team of Clydesdales out of Mechanicsville, Maryland that performs and competes at fairs, exhibitions, parades and other events. The most challenging part of this wrap design was to incorporate a different stripe pattern on the new trailer that flowed with the existing stripes that were already on the tractor from a previous wrap. Since the rear doors are typically left open while the team is at these events, the inside of the doors were wrapped as well so the design is not blocked.”
