St. Paul, Minnesota-based 3M Commercial Solutions announces the latest addition to its list of approved printer platforms eligible for the company’s MCS Warranty coverage for finished graphics.
3M’s MCS Warranty now covers jobs done with HP Latex 831 inks used with the HP Latex 360 Printer when created by a 3M-certified graphics provider using qualified 3M products. The ink will be labeled as “3M MCS Warranty Component for HP Latex 360.”
The MCS Warranty, which the company claims is the industry’s gold standard, covers fading, cracking, peeling and other aspects of graphic performance for the life of the graphic.
To provide the warranty, graphics manufacturers must be certified by 3M. Interested manufacturers can visit www.3MGraphics.com/WarrantyRegistration to register their printer and ink combination, complete the necessary eLearning modules and schedule a site visit from a 3M representative. Graphics manufacturers that have completed the process will receive a personalized Certificate of 3M MCS Warranty.
3M Commercial Solutions also announces it is extending the MCS Warranty up to a 7 year period for EFI VUTEk GSLXr 3M SuperFlex UV Ink when used in either the EFI VUTEk GS3250LXr Pro or GS5500LXr Pro printers. 3M-certified graphics manufacturers can now provide up to a 7-year warranty period when protected with qualifying film overlaminates, and up to a 5- year warranty period when protected with 3M UV Gloss 9740i liquid clear coat.
The 3M Warranty coverage is a brand new offering for the recently launched EFI VUTEk® GS5500LXr Pro Printer.
