A big event like the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, held in Dallas Feb. 14, requires some big graphics—and National Print Group, Chattanooga, Tenn., helped transform the city of Dallas with three huge building wraps printed on the HP Scitex XL1500 Printer. The image on the Bank of America Plaza (building far left in image) is the largest super graphic ever installed on a building at 105’ x 505’ and is currently being certified for inclusion in the next edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. The graphics total approximately 120,000 square feet.
In addition, Dallas-based print service provider Gigantic Color produced more than 90,000 square feet of interior and exterior graphics to turn the Dallas Cowboys football stadium into a professional basketball arena and create the ultimate basketball fan experience.
Gigantic Color printed 75’ x 120’ foot mesh panels using two HP Scitex XL1500 printers fitted with dye sublimation inks, created fabric architectural signage suspended from existing hardware in three end-zone decks, printed a variety of rigid and adhesive-backed, branded signage and displays throughout the stadium produced on the HP Scitex FB7500 and TJ8300 printers, exterior graphics, column wraps and fabric cover-ups to decorate 13 area hotels.
