Spencer, Massachusetts-based FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive films and adhesive products, says Aziz Gdihi has jointed the company as its new vice president of supply chain for FLEXcon North America.
Gdihi brings a wealth of global knowledge and experience to his new role, according to FLEXcon North America president, Lavon Winkler.
“Aziz comes to us with 20-plus years of experience in managing global supply chains, which includes strategic planning and analysis, procurement, process improvement, forecasting, budgeting and logistics,” Winkler says. “He is also widely recognized for inclusive leadership and a collaborative team-oriented style, which are highly valued traits at FLEXcon.”
Gdihi most recently served as the global director of supply chain at Bemis Associates in Shirley, Massachusetts, where he led a team of 75 supply chain professionals. Previously, Aziz worked for Corning for which he led supply chain management for many of their divisions around the globe.
“I look forward to collaborating with FLEXcon’s procurement team to align its structure and processes with the company’s strategic goals,” says Gdihi. “Our goals will be to consolidate FLEXcon’s global supply chain function and develop sophisticated strategies to ensure global competitiveness in materials procurement, thereby reducing raw material costs and improving lead times for our customers.”
