Salt Lake City-based Color Graphics Inc., a full-service print provider, increased its print production capacity when it recently installed a five-meter Durst Rho 500R superwide roll-to-roll UV-curing inkjet printer.
Color Graphics is one of the first to acquire one of these units in the United States.
Color Graphics is employing its new Rho 500R primarily for higher-end retail and P.O.P. applications. The Rho 500R prints six-color, 600-dpi images on a wide variety of roll media at speeds up to 4,300 square feet an hour. It can also print three independent images from three separate job queues at the same time to achieve high efficiency and fulfill a broader range of applications.
Color Graphics has also installed a Durst Rho 800 large-format flatbed UV-cure printer to help transition the bulk of its rigid large-format print output to digital.
