Embed Signage, a UK-based online provider of cloud-based digital signage Software-as-a-Service, announces it has been named to the shortlist for three 2017 Install Awards, a UK-based annual event that recognizes excellence in the global A/V industry.
Two Embed Signage projects are finalists in the “Best Retail/Digital Out-of-Home” category. The first is a nomination it shares with A/V reseller AVMI for a luxury French design company, Roche Bobois, that Embed Digital did in a digital upgrade to the company’s Harrods, London, showroom to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Embed Signage’s software is powering a large video wall designed to showcase the design firm’s latest promotional video. That installation also includes a 75” Samsung Smart Signage Platform display.
The second project Embed Signage is shortlisted for in the Retail/DOOH Project of the Year category was carried out by Eclipse Digital Media, a sister company of Embed Signage that provides menu boards and other hardware for digital signage. It did a project for clothing retailer MATALAN, which was seeking striking digital signage for the opening of its new store. The installation was a 4-meter x 2-meter (approximately 13’ x 6 ½’) LED videowall in the front window to drive foot traffic.
The final Install Award that Embed Signage made the short list for is the Rising Star award, and the company’s Daniel Cruickshank, a “full stack developer,” received that nomination.
The Rising Star awards go to people under the age of 30, or who have been working in the industry for less than three years, who have already made a major impact.
