Epson Achieves 98% PMS Coverage

Seiko Epson Corp. announces that its Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 inkjet printer series has achieved 98 percent coverage of the Pantone Matching System (PMS), as evaluated and certified by Pantone, LLC. Pantone is the international reference for selecting, specifying, matching and controlling ink colors.

With the ability to achieve 98% coverage of Pantone colors, industry professionals using Epson printers have more accurate color control over designs, proofs and final images; and enables designers to more accurately reproduce corporate and brand colors and use a wide variety of Pantone spot colors.

The combination of Epson's Micro Piezo TFP inkjet technology with its 10-color UltraChrome HDR (high dynamic range) ink set —cyan, light cyan, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, yellow, matte or photo black, black, light black and light light black—Epson's UltraChrome HDR inks include Orange and Green which significantly increases the range of colors that can be achieved, especially bright green to yellow, and yellow to red.
