Express Image Buys Fellow Minnesota-Based Print Shop

Express Image, a St. Paul, Minnesota-based interactive digital display and print provider, announces it has purchased Spring Lake Park, Minnesota-based SourceOne Graphics.

Express Image has been around for more than 70 years, and one of its recent high-profile projects was installing wayfinding kiosks at the Mall of America, which gets an estimated 40 million visitors annually.

Like Express Image, SourceOne offers its customers a wide variety of types of signage to choose from. It will now operate under the Express Image name.

“As Express Image grows we continue to seek out companies that can help us transform and enhance our product and service offerings that will ultimately provide greater value to our customers, employees and suppliers,” says Jeff Sarenpa, Express Image’s president. “With SourceOne Graphics, we saw a great opportunity in the product offerings SourceOne provides that will help us do just that.”

Express Image serves clients in a variety of industries, including entertainment, retail, travel, financial services, health care, technology, education and automotive.

Paul Cowan, vice president of SourceOne Graphics, adds: “We are beyond excited to be joining Express Image, an awesome, fast-growing print and technology company within our industry. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to bring our products that we’ve created to one of the leaders in the print and digital visual communications space and supporting Express Image’s efforts to drive growth for all of our customers.”

Paul’s father, Jerry Cowan, founded SourceOne Graphics in 1988 when he bought out a company called Fabra Print Inc. He subsequently bought out several other companies over the years.
