UK-based imageHOLDERS, designers and manufactures of tablet and touchscreen kiosks, announces that it has worked with Auburn, New York-based MEDENT to develop an ambulatory practice patient self-check-in kiosks for doctor practices across the United States.
According to the companies, the kiosks serve as a dual solution. They enable patients to make appointments and check in when they arrive. They also allow for the user to manage their insurance and make payments. The kiosk integrates a driver’s license scanner which validates the ID, and then scans the patient’s insurance card and enables payment before dispensing a receipt.
The ADA-compliant freestanding kiosks are shipped directly to the doctor’s office with all the devices integrated, serving as a plug-in-and-go solution.
“The kiosks have been really well received by our end users and their customers,” says Ryan Cuthbert, vice president of MEDENT. “We have a vast portfolio of solutions and the new kiosk provides an all-in-one solution which functions in a variety of ways, saving time for the receptionist and providing patients a quick way to check-in and feel in control of their journey.”
