Lisa Mendoza was a first-time attendee to THE NBM SHOW/Long Beach last summer and she says she’ll be back again this August.

Adding to her excitement was the fact that she took home $500 in Buyer Bucks, which are given out every day of THE NBM SHOW in whichever city it’s held in. In Mendoza’s case, that bought her two-three months’ worth of supplies, including coffee mugs, transfer paper and dye-sublimation inks, she says.

“I loved it,” Mendoza says of her first-time experience. “It was great. Everybody was very helpful—it got me excited to try new things.”

Mendoza operates a home-based business in Lomita, California, with her husband called Fleetline Fine Art. In business for a couple of decades, Lisa takes her husband Julian’s fine art paintings and applies them—so far—to coffee mugs. More products may come in the future, she says, and THE NBM SHOW helped her imagine the possibilities.

Each day of THE NBM SHOW, one lucky winner is chosen to take home $500 as part of the Buyer Bucks program. The money can be spent with any exhibitor at the show, and winners need not be present to claim their prize. The only caveat is that winners must spend the money with an exhibitor of their choice within 45 days.

THE NBM SHOW has seven more cities lined up for 2018 with the next being Sacramento, California, April 13-14. The show is a great chance to network and meet with manufacturers and suppliers in the sign and digital graphics, awards and engraving and apparel decoration industries. You may discover opportunities in markets that you hadn’t thought of before, which is one of the main goals of the show: to help you broaden your prospects and boost your business.

There’s training throughout the event in the classroom—the classes are always free—and out in the exhibit hall. Each show also has an After Hours Networking Reception.

And of course, there’s a chance to win Buyer Bucks!
