FLEXcon Promotes Three Executives

Spencer, Massachusetts-based FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive film products, announces several promotions, including expanding the leadership team with two new vice presidents and a new director.

Tom Kubacki has been named vice president of manufacturing. Kubacki has been at FLEXcon for 28 years and most recently served as director of coating technology and production control, a position he held since 2005. The company says he played a vital role in introducing the principles of lean manufacturing to FLEXcon. In his new role, Kubacki will focus on best practices and facilitating communications across the company’s North American manufacturing facilities.

Nathan Bailey will lead FLEXcon’s strategic initiatives as vice president of general counsel and corporate secretary. In this new position, Bailey will be responsible for leading strategic and tactical legal initiatives and ensuring that FLEXcon conducts its business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. He has served as FLEXcon’s chief of legal counsel since joining the company in 2015, and has helped create new strategic partnerships, supported customer relationships, and managed FLEXcon’s corporate structure. Throughout his time at the company, he has also supported several FLEXcon subsidiaries, including Arlon Graphics, FLEXcon Industrial and Blueshift International.

Howard Letendre is assuming the role of director of manufacturing for FLEXcon’s Spencer facility. Letendre has been FLEXcon’s director of finishing technology since 2005, and has a strong record of accomplishments throughout his career, the company says. He has implemented new finishing equipment to increase its finishing capabilities, and he has improved throughput with the institution of safer, more efficient processes, all of which enable FLEXcon to finish, package and ship orders more quickly. His expanded role will include planning and directing all coating functions for FLEXcon’s Spencer facilities, in addition to directing all finishing production functions including scheduling and shipping, as well as planning and coordinating the application of finishing technology.

“We are happy to announce the promotion of these three team members to new executive roles and give them an opportunity to lead FLEXcon in 2017,” said Neil McDonough, CEO of FLEXcon. “Collectively, they bring decades of manufacturing and customer service experience and embody qualities that directly reflect FLEXcon’s customer-first mentality, and commitment to improving the overall manufacturing process while delivering high-quality products. We are confident that they will excel in their new roles and help take FLEXcon to the next level of its growth.”

Several other FLEXcon employees were also promoted to new roles in 2017, including:

  • Brian Ayers, who is becoming market development specialist: petro/chemical, outdoor power equipment, power tool and automotive market segments. Ayers has had an 18-year career at FLEXcon.

  • Ronald Ducharme is now market development specialist, appliance, consumer electronics, and warehouse management
