Land O’ Lakes, Florida-based Architectural Signage & Printing, a full-service sign and graphics design shop that also does awards and engraving, decorated apparel and more, was recently named the Small Business of the Year for the second straight year by the Central Pasco (County) Chamber of Commerce.
Also, co-owner Judi Fisher has been named “Honorary Mayor of Land O’ Lakes,” representing her business in that ceremonial role. The person named Honorary Mayor is the one that raises the most money for the Chamber in a 90-day period leading up to its annual meeting.
According to a statement, Fisher and her husband, Jonathan, took over the business in 2014 (it was founded in 1983). Since then, Fisher says the community “has been a growing family.”
Architectural Signage & Printing also received another honor from the Central Pasco Chamber earlier this year: In January it was presented with the “Heart of Pasco Award” by for its service to the community’s people and businesses.
Judi Fisher says she believes the recognition they’re receiving is due to the way they do business. “There’s a lot of things that set us apart,” she says. “We do a large variety of things in-house. We don’t have to send it out.” She also says the Fishers’ goal “is to make everyone feel welcome. Make them feel at home.”
Architectural Signage & Printing was started by Jonathan Fisher’s aunt and uncle in the back bedroom of their home in 1983, and he has worked at the business for more than 20 years. Today, Architectural Signage & Printing is in a 5,000-square-foot building.
