Former HP Executive Joins Color Concepts as Strategic Adviser and Shareholder

The Netherlands-based Color Concepts, an independent profiling and testing lab that serves the digital wide-format printing industry, announces the addition of industry veteran Gido van Praag to the company as a strategic adviser and shareholder.

His most recent position having been president and CEO of Océ Display Graphics Systems, van Praag’s new company says under his tenure there, he was instrumental in helping the Océ Display Graphics Business Group become the fastest growing top- and bottom-line business unit within the Océ Group.

Before becoming president and CEO, van Praag was managing director at Océ Singapore and president and representative director of Océ Japan.

Before Océ van Praag had been with HP, serving initially as vice president and general manager of the company’s Graphics Solutions Business for Asia-Pacific and Japan, and after that he led the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for the same division. In both roles at HP, his responsibilities included driving the overall business strategy for the graphics segment and leading profit and loss, end-to-end operations and marketing strategies for the graphics segment.

“We are overjoyed to welcome Gido to our team,” says Color Concepts CEO Marco Roos. “His wealth of experience, open minded approach, and leadership experience are giving our fast-growing team a tremendous boost and the confidence to execute on our disruptive strategy. Color Concepts is undergoing a transformation and is having an exciting future ahead. Our top priority is building a strong team, along with our technology and services. Gido’s active contributions help us to get there faster and more efficiently.”
