Denver-based Four Winds Interactive, a maker of digital signage solutions including content management software, announces a contract with Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International that has it providing the digital content management system for all of the company’s properties in the U.S.
MGM Resorts International’s properties in Las Vegas alone include the Bellagio, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, and several other casino/hotels. Throughout the U.S. the company owns 42,000 hotel rooms, 350 food and beverage venues, three million square feet of convention space and 1.5 million square feet of casino floor.
Four Winds Interactive’s system is built to allow MGM to communicate with both guests and its employees. Restaurant information and menus, convention information, wayfinding, social media engagement and promotions are but a few of the ways the system is used. It also opens up myriad possibilities for revenue generation for MGM through advertising and customized messaging.
For example, restaurants within MGM’s properties can easily change menus to update available items, pricing and specials. Previously, the process to change printed menus could take months. Using dynamic digital signage, the process takes only seconds and MGM’s food and beverage operation has realized incremental revenue of $100,000. In addition, using digital displays to promote food and beverage specials on table displays has generated 37 percent more sales.
Four Winds says that its Software as a Service platform is built to be easy to use and adaptable to any end user, whether it be a full-size screen or a mobile device.
