Heat Transfer Warehouse Brews Enthusiasm for Local Zoo

Fargo, North Dakota-based Heat Transfer Warehouse, a distributor of heat transfer materials, recently reached out to help its community by participating in the 2nd annual Zoo Brew—a charity event hosting several local breweries and live bands to raise money in support of the Red River Zoo’s mission to save endangered species.

Every Fargo employee helped out at the July 27 event, says HTW’s marketing coordinator, Brooke Hestdalen.

She says there was an air of enthusiasm as the 24 employees took shifts preparing food, working at the concession stand and handing out the tasting glasses.

“I think everyone was excited because it was an event none of us had ever been to or heard of before; we were all interested to see how it went and what attendance was like,” she says.

Heat Transfer Warehouse participates in a number of charitable events throughout the year and even has a charity committee dedicated to finding ways to get involved.

“As a part of the charity committee, I am always trying to find new events or organization that we can help out, not only to give our employees something new or different to do, but also to help as many organizations as we can,” Hestdalen says. “(The Zoo Brew) was something we had never done before, so we thought it would be a fun way to donate our time. And since the zoo is local to us rather than an international charity, we had the opportunity to directly help a good cause in our area.”
