HP and Color Concepts Introduce Rigid Materials to the HP Certification Program

Palo Alto, California-based HP and the Netherlands-based Color Concepts, an independent profiling and testing lab that serves the digital wide-format printing industry, introduce the new Latex Certification Program for the R Printer Series for rigid media.

Color Concepts is an exclusive Latex Certification partner of HP and will offer this program in the USA and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

The two companies say the program is a milestone in the HP Latex Certification Program, marking the addition of rigid materials. The current Latex Certification program already covers more than 1,300 flexible materials for various generations of HP Latex Printers.

The R Printer Series Rigid Media Program will test the suitability of the printer and the performance, such as testing the color and application compatibility. The results will be shown on the HP Media Solutions Locator and all printer front panel displays. This brand-new program ensures users of the HP R Printer Series access to a library of thoroughly tested materials. It offers safety and a peace of mind for resellers and manufacturers of rigid materials. Trial and error processes are eliminated and the risk of costs of failure will decrease, the company says.
