Idealliance Announces Next Entry in its BrandQ Webinar Series

The Alexandria, Virginia-based International Digital Enterprise Alliance, better known as Idealliance, announces the next in its series of free BrandQ webinars, this one entitled, “Coating & Lamination: Finishing Processes and the Effect on Color.”

The webinar will be Friday, July 26, from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern, 9-10 a.m. Pacific.

The BrandQ Certified Supply Chain certification is a third-party assessment that examines key aspects of a facility, such as process capability, performance, process control, color management, ISO Standards, proof and press alignment, spot color rendering, pre-media capabilities, G7 calibration, and includes detailed reports and analysis.

“Coating, lamination and other finishing operations can completely change the color of the final product,” the company says in its webinar announcement. “In this webinar our panelists will discuss the effects of coating, lamination and other post print finishing, and how they manage it.”

The company says topics will include:

  • What happens to color when a product is finished post-print
  • Typical color differences between wet and finished sheets
  • Techniques to predict and manage the effect of post process on the press sheet
  • Effect of prediction and post process on quality control metrics

The moderators for the event will be Ron Ellis, brand expert and chair of the Idealliance Print Properties & Colorimetric Council tne Timothy Baechle, CEO of the Idealliance. Panelists for the event are to be announced, the nonprofit says.
