Lumvatech, a South Carolina-based manufacturer of ultra-thin LED backlighting panels, announces that it has doubled its output capacity for the second time in just six months.
The company says its purchase of two new high-speed, enhanced-accuracy panel cutters has allowed it to again double production capacity while maintaining its quality and precision cutting specifications with the requirements given by its customers.
Lumvatech says high-volume LED backlight panel production projects required the installation of the new cutters, and they will be largely dedicated to handling volume production. Its older production equipment will continue to be used for production of prototype and smaller-run projects, allowing the company to maintain short lead times for both prototypes and high-volume orders.
The company, which has been around for five years, says it has had multi-million-dollar customer commitments that have led to the purchase of the new automated machines.
"We have utilized space planned for this equipment faster than expected" says Alan MacDonald, operations manager. "The new machines ensure our ability to produce panels for several upcoming high volume projects."
Meanwhile, the company continues to expand its design and manufacturing team in South Carolina as well.
Aside from providing panels for point-of-purchase LED displays and signs, Lumvatech also provides panels for human-machine interaction applications in a variety of industries.
