Jacksonville, Florida-based Mac Papers, a distributor to the paper and print, packaging, facility supplies, and office markets across the southeastern U.S., announces the addition of a senior-level position in its paper business segment and has tapped Mac Papers veteran Craig Boortz for the leadership role.
Boortz has been named vice president of sales, paper, and in his new role he will be responsible for the performance of the company’s largest business segment, planning and overseeing the development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the paper business. Boortz retains his regional management responsibilities and reports directly to Mac Papers CEO David McGehee.
“As we deepen our commitment to continue growing our packaging and wide format segments, paper remains a core business segment for us,” says McGehee. “Based on Craig’s extensive sales and management experience and his proven performance over the past 26 years at Mac Papers, we are confident that Craig will be highly successful in this key leadership role.”
Boortz joined Mac Papers as an account manager at the company’s Tampa branch in 1992, shortly after completing the masters of business administration program at the University of Tampa. He progressed within three years into branch leadership roles, and in January 2014 was promoted to vice president and regional manager.
