Dallas-based CNC cutting solutions manufacturer MultiCam is celebrating 25 years in business as of the first of the year.
Originally called Machine Automation Technology when it launched in 1989, MultiCam was founded by Ken Koelling, who began building complete CNC systems customized to the needs of his customers. His goal, the company says, was to ensure that every machine was built to exceed the industrial standards of the marketplace and would remain reliable for the life of the machine, while at the same time keeping them at an affordable purchase price for small businesses around the globe.
As it celebrates a quarter-century in business at the end of 2014, MultiCam notes that to date, it has manufactured and installed more than 10,000 CNC machines worldwide. All of its CNC router, laser, plasma, waterjet and knife cutting machines are produced at its 135,000-square-foot facility in north Texas, and they are supported by a global network that includes 60 locations worldwide and 20 technology centers across North America.
