Rotuba is a Linden, New Jersey-based manufacturer of lighting sheets and profiles, and Plaskolite plans to incorporate its products into its own offerings of similar products, which it sells into the architectural, exhibit and tradeshow, retail point-of-purchase and store display and signage markets, among others. Plaskolite will begin manufacturing these products in their production facilities located in Columbus and Zanesville, Ohio, and Olive Branch, Mississippi.
“With this latest acquisition, we have reinforced our commitment to being the leader in the lighting sheet industry,” says Mitchell Grindley, president and CEO of Plaskolite. “We continue to invest internally and through acquisition to increase our value with our customers across all businesses.
“Plaskolite’s experienced inside sales team will be available to assist new customers with transitioning their ordering process to Plaskolite and will introduce them to Plaskolite’s extensive range of high-quality thermoplastic sheet products.”
Plaskolite was founded in Columbus in 1950 and claims to be the largest U.S. manufacturer of continuously processed acrylic sheet products. The company currently has more than 630 employees and operates manufacturing facilities in Ohio; Mississippi; Grand Saline, Texas; Compton, California; Monterrey, Mexico; and Malatya, Turkey.
