Plymouth, Michigan Minuteman Press Reopens Under New Ownership

Farmingdale, New York-based Minuteman Press International welcomes a new franchisee into its ranks: Joe Safadi is now the new owner of International Minute Press in Plymouth, Michigan, which recently celebrated its grand re-opening.

Safadi comes to his new career from a varied background. He was born and raised in Plymouth, and has held positions at both General Motors and Google. But he says being in the printing business is something that has always called to him.

“I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in downtown Detroit where I studied art and design,” Safadi says. “While in college I worked in the printing industry and loved print media on top of illustrating. During my career, I have worked on video games and for General Motors, and I recently worked for Google as part of their AdWords Department. This business gives me a chance to go back to what I am truly passionate about doing."

He says that rather than opening a stand-alone shop, he specifically sought out a franchising opportunity because he wanted the backing and support that franchisors offer. And it just so happened that the Minuteman Press in his hometown was for sale.

“Unlike some other franchises I reached out to,” Safadi says, “the team at Minuteman Press International was prompt in speaking with me and they just made me feel comfortable from the beginning and throughout the process. I don’t feel like a number to them, and whenever I have any questions, they are always there for me both locally and on the corporate side.”

Safadi's International Minute Press is located at 1058 S. Main St. in Plymouth, 48170. For more information, you can call 734-414-6203 or visit the website
