Winners of the Product of the Year Award competition were announced at a recent trade show show in Las Vegas.
Mimaki USA was the big winner this year at the SGIA competition, taking home a total of five awards: the Poster Size - Solvent/Latex Printers (greater than 96”) category with its JV33-160; the Rigid White Ink UV (under $200K) printer category with its JFX-1615; the Grand Format Roll-to-Roll - Solvent & Latex inks printer category with its JV33-260; the Grand Format Roll-to-Roll - UV Cure printer category with its JFX-1631R; and the Digital Inks category with its LF200 UV Flexible Inks for Backlit/Display product.
Océ Display Graphics Systems was the next big winner, taking three awards: the Rigid Substrate UV (over $200K) printer category with its Arizona 550 GT; the Rigid Substrate UV (over $200K) printer category with its Arizona 550 XT; and the Flat Bed-Rigid White Ink UV (over $200K) printer category with its Arizona 550 XT printer.
Media categories produced several winners: Xcel Product took the Paper category with its TerraSkin XP product; Ultraflex Systems won the Vinyl category with its Glow Mesh product; Continental Grafx won the Films category with its HydroSol Satin Textured LightBlock 230STL product; Vapor Apparel/SourceSubstrates won the Textile category with its100% Post Consumer/Industrial Materials product; Panel Processing won the Rigid category with its Eco-Finish Rigid Print Media product; and Dreamscape won the Non-PVC (Non-woven) category with its Terralon product.
Finishing categories produced two winners: Neschen Americas/SEAL won the Laminates, Adhesives, Films, Coatings category with its Print Shield Anti-Graffiti Laminating Film product; and Fotoba International won the Finishing Equipment category with its Fotoba Dreamcut XLD-170D digital die cutter.
The Business or Other Workflow Software category went to Caldera Graphics for its Costview 2.0 (optimized for ipad) product; and the Direct to Garment Inkjet Printers category was won by Equipment Zone for its Veloci-Jet XL unit.
