Addison, Texas-based SAGE, a provider of product research and marketing tools primarily geared toward the promotional products industry, including shops that make flags and banners, announces a partnership with San Francisco-based Stripe, a company that allows businesses and individuals to accept payments over the Internet.
Stripe’s niche is offering a simplified, user-friendly, and low-cost credit card processing service for promotional products professionals. Rather than the traditional model of multi-tiered pricing, Stripe offers a streamlined pricing model. Through the partnership, SAGE subscribers will only be responsible for a flat rate of 2.9% plus .30 cents per transaction on all credit or debit card purchases. Subscribers only pay as cards are charged, and there are no monthly fees, according to the company.
“Most payment processing services aren’t made with independent business owners in mind,” says Jarod Thorndike, director of strategic relations at SAGE. “When it comes to the costs of maintaining a payment processing solution, many users are burdened with monthly fees. With Stripe, our members will have the benefit of only incurring fees when they use the service, as well as being able to easily understand their monthly statements.”
SAGE says its subscribers who are currently using SAGE Payment Processing through Merchant Focus can continue to use their payment processing services.
