UK-based Talon, an out-of-home (OOH) advertising agency, announces its expansion into the U.S. market with the opening of its New York office.
Talon’s U.S. operation is a joint venture with Holt Media Companies Inc., who will be providing the U.K. company a “high-end” perspective on the U.S. landscape, the companies say. Together with Ptarmigan Media, founding agency partner, Talon will also extend its work with heritage partners Grand Visual and Blis.
Irina Zeltser has been appointed managing director and will run the agency’s U.S. arm. James Copley, a founding partner of Talon, will be providing support and will oversee the operation, while Ruth Schinn has been hired as director. Additional appointments will be announced, the company says.
“This is an exciting time to be in the industry, with the advent of new digital technologies, audience targeting and measurement capabilities that continue to lift the medium as a whole,” says Zeltser. “We intend to embrace the ongoing digital transformation in OOH, employing an approach that leverages all of the technological and creative assets at our disposal to smartly deliver the most effective and accountable integrated campaigns for our clients.”
Over the past five years, Talon has worked to establish itself as one of the premier OOH agencies in the UK, it says, having worked with such top brands as Google, Disney, Sony Pictures and McDonald’s.
