Plymouth, Michigan-based laser engraving and cutting equipment maker Trotec Laser announces the dates of its upcoming open house events held in its facilities across the country. The events include: Tuesday, Dec. 13, Raleigh, North Carolina (6308 Angus Drive); Wednesday, Dec. 14, Tampa, Florida (678 Benjamin Road); Dec. 14, Atlanta (3030 Business Park Drive); Dec. 14, Hillsborough, New Jersey (5 Ilene Court, Building 7, Suite 7; and Dec. 15, Hayward, California (23595 Cabot Blvd.), The last one, in the San Francisco Bay area, will be the first open house and official grand opening of the company’s newest facility.
These educational events are held at the company’s many locations throughout the year, according to Trotec marketing manager Trish Steding.
“They’ve been going so well that we’ve started to specialize a little more to incorporate our strategic business partners in some of our events,” Steding says, referring to some of the company’s open houses featuring seminars from other companies. “We find that when people come to our open houses, it’s not just because they want to learn about our lasers or purchase a laser, they come because they want to learn things.”
The “workshop-style” sessions aren’t held in an actual classroom, but they are educational, Steding adds. Customers are welcome to view laser demonstrations and ask questions, and the company has recently begun soliciting its customers to submit samples of products they’ve created with their Trotec system.
“We ask customers to send us a sample of their work because we want to get some ideas of what users are creating,” she says. “We’re trying to stir up some excitement. They’re very well-received and we’re considering even more events in 2017.”
