Cooke

Two Top Execs Join Fulham Co.

Hawthorne, California-based Fulham Co., a global manufacturer and supplier of energy efficient lighting systems, announces the hiring a new CFO and a VP of marketing.

James Cooke is Fulham Co.’s new chief financial officer. He will be responsible for the company’s overall financial strategy, planning and management in support of its global growth and leadership direction.

Cooke joins Fulham from the Hytwo Group, a provider of interim CFOs and other executives across a variety of industries. Before becoming a part of Hytwo Group, Cooke was CFO for Idatech Group, a global developer and manufacturer of fuel cells for the telecommunications industry. There he was integrally involved in transitioning the business from an R&D organization to a publically traded company. He has also been CFO for several London-based companies and he holds a degree from the University of Liverpool.

Russ Sharer is now Fulham’s vice president of marketing. In his new role he will be establishing the company’s strategic brand direction and overseeing the development and execution of new marketing strategies designed to expand its customer base and strengthen the company’s market position.

Sharer joins Fulham with more than 25 years of experience in B2B marketing, business development and sales for a wide range of networking and telecommunications equipment and software companies. Most recently he had been at Sharer and Associates, a self-founded consulting firm helping start-up companies achieve success.

“The lighting industry is in the midst of a significant transition driven by the need for increased efficiency and demonstrated by the escalation of innovative new technologies and products appearing in the market,” says Bob Howard-Anderson, Fulham’s president and CEO. “Fulham is committed to meeting the challenges an evolving industry presents by building a team with the knowledge and experience to succeed in a volatile market.”

While California is its headquarters, Fulham also has sales and/or manufacturing facilities in London, China, India and the United Arab Emirates.
