Watchfire Buys Software Company Aerva

Danville, Illinois-based LED sign maker Watchfire Signs announces the purchase of Aerva, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based display network management software company whose services are Cloud-based.

Aerva’s software allows for creating, managing and delivering content and experiences across multiple digital medial channels. The company's products enable real-time interactivity, integration with social media and mobile engagement. Aerva’s customers include Anheuser-Busch, APN Outdoor, the U.S. Navy, Beats-by-Dre, Taco Bell and HTC.

“Aerva has an exciting set of tools that really push the capabilities of digital signage and real-time social engagement and we are proud to be able to integrate their technology with ours,” says Steve Harriott, CEO of Watchfire Signs. “Dynamic, interactive content requires compatibility with a growing number of digital channels and Aerva’s technology will allow Watchfire to broaden its offerings in this area.”

As part of the buyout deal, Aerva will continue to operate as an independent company at its Cambridge headquarters.
