Spencer, Massachusetts-based FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive film products, announces that it has teamed up with Elgin, Illinois-based commercial graphics and vehicle wraps provider DAXAM Inc., to produce and donate the graphics for a Chicago-area charity event.
The event—organized by Operation North Pole, a Des Plaines, Illinois-based public charity organization—provided a fun-filled day of holiday festivities for families with children who are battling a life-threatening illness. Approximately 70 families attended this year’s event, which included a “trip to the North Pole” on the Metra Union Pacific Northwest rail line. DAXAM wrapped five train cars and an engine in a festive holiday-themed wrap it created using FLEXcon’s BUSart Air Egress, SEETHRU-SIGN White/Black Flex 2 and REFLECTAmark U 450 products. The REFLECTAmark material was used for reflective accent designs such as snowflakes and stars which will make it possible for the trains to be seen at night.
“FLEXcon year after year continues to support our efforts to create a memorable event for local families,” says Wojtek Drobek, vice president of DAXAM Inc. “The addition of the REFLECTAmark U 450 product being used for the reflective accents has allowed us to bring the excitement of the trains from the daytime into the night for the first time ever. FLEXcon’s products continue to serve as the perfect solution due to the ease of handling during installation and clean removability following the conclusion of the event. It’s always a seamless transition.”
This was the fifth consecutive year the two companies partnered on this charity event.
